EU Palm Oil Gate
Palm Oil Monitor has discovered a treasure trove of internal European Union documents, communiqués and talking points that document the European Union’s deliberate and calculated strategy to ban Palm Oil from the European market. These official EU documents prove, amongst other things, the Commission ignored its own advice in moving ahead with the Renewable Energy Directive Delegated Act knowing it would jeopardise relations with ASEAN, specifically the FTAs with major trading economies Indonesia and Malaysia, and violated WTO rules.
